Who says one must learn to read and write before he or she can acquire knowledge; with audio books this is no longer compulsory. Also, for those who don't like reading novels and other fun books, audio books now help them to still enjoy such books with ease.
Many people insist that the ease of just "listening" to their favorite book and still getting the information therein, as opposed to dedicating time to "reading" it, makes the audio book format much more appealing to them. This can be attributed to why we now have as many audio book versions of popular book titles as we have the normal physical book format.
As far as I'm concerned, I am able to save a lot of time each day when I drive and "listen" to an audio book than I would have saved sitting in one spot and reading the book. It's not just the extra time one would save, one would also gain a lot of knowledge from the audio book as well.
Since humans are naturally lazy, children, the middle aged and oldies now prefer listening to audio books than reading. Calculating the cost of producing and marketing audio books would reveal how more cost effective it is to produce them than it is to produce the other book formats.
Audio books also help to conserve nature than hardcover and paperbacks; another big advantage. Another very important advantage of audio book is the fact that people who are always doing household chores can still do them while listening to audio books.
While you can't read a normal hardcover or paperback book in the dark, with an audio book you can listen even in the dark; this is so far one of the most powerful advantages of audio book. If you're now convinced about the many advantages of audio books and want to get your own copies of your favorite titles, conduct a search on any of the major search engines for the particular title and check for the audio book format; you're sure to find it.
